Side Quests (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Side Quests mobile application (the “App”) collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We hate spam as much as you do and what is yours will stay yours!
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect and store:
Account Information: such as a user identifier, display name, and sign-in details (if you create an account).
App Data You Provide: such as quests, goals, progress, streaks, preferences, and settings.
Device/Usage Data (Limited): basic operational data needed to run the App (for example, app version).
Health Data (Optional): if you choose to enable Apple Health / HealthKit permissions, the App may read health-related metrics you authorize to support fitness tracking and progress. You can use the App without enabling Health permissions.
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the App features (progress tracking, streaks, notifications, and personalization)
Sync your data across devices (if you use an account)
Maintain security and prevent abuse
Provide support and respond to requests
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We only disclose information if required to:
Comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request
Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or the public
Enforce our terms or prevent fraud/abuse
Your data may be stored:
Locally on your device (for fast access and offline viewing where applicable)
In cloud services hosted on Microsoft Azure (to enable account sync and backup)
We keep your data only as long as necessary to provide the App and its features, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You can request deletion of your data at any time. Upon verified request, we will delete your data stored in our cloud systems within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal reasons.

Include: your account email/identifier and any relevant details to help us locate your data.
You may also remove local data by uninstalling the App (note: uninstalling may not remove cloud-stored data unless you request deletion).
Health Permissions: You can enable/disable Health access anytime in iOS Settings.
Notifications: You can enable/disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
Account Data: You can request access, correction, or deletion as described above.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
SideQuests is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective Date” above and may provide additional notice within the App.
